Crazy 8's
Favorite Resturants
1. Red Lobster. I love seafood. It just sucks that it is so expensive that I usually only get to go for my birthday or a big occasion.
2. Taj India. (or pretty much any Indian resturant) Love me some Indian food!
3. Zupas. If you've never heard about it or tried it, make a point to. They have the best salads, soups and sandwiches plus fondue for dessert and it's so reasonably priced. I think the large soup is 6 bucks and you get bread and a giant chocolate covered strawberry with it. My favorite..lobster Thai Curry but they'll let you try them all!
4. The Mandarin. The original one in Bountiful...orange peel beef, peking duck, creme' brulee.
5. The Maddox. In little old Perry Utah. Best rolls and raspberry butter ever! And their original shrimp steak is out of this world!
6. The Melting Pot. If I have a quick $100 bill to drop, which is VERY seldom, this is a great place. Funny that it is the most expensive resturant ever and you have to cook your own food.
7. Westgate Grill. This is the resturant inside the Park City resort we have a time share at. The food is out of this world. If you want a free stay there and a gift card for a free dinner, let me know!
8. Famous Dave's. For the awesome atmosphere and the best BBQ!
Things that happened yesterday
1. Went to work (sub teach, so maybe I should have said...babysit?) at a Jr. High.
2. Watched part of The Princess Bride...always a classic, but school ended before it could finish
3. Listened to Christmas music and sang along on my drive.
4. Watched the most recent Desperate Housewives with Dave...yes, he loves that show!
5. Took the kids swimming. Even though there was a hot tub, there wasn't a rousing game of Hot Tub Charades, our favorite family game
6. Pizza for dinner. I love not having to cook sometimes...actually, I love not having to cook at ALL times, but have to do it anyway.
7. Cuddled with and tickled the kids. No, they're not too old!
8. Frosty the Snowman on t.v. at night for the kids! (and me, I love that show!)
Favorite TV Shows I love to watch
1. American Idol. I love living vicariously through others' fame. I imagine me as the American Idol all the time, like, every time I sing...which is a lot!
2. Big Brother. This is my shameless addiction. I love watching peoples' drama and getting lost in theirs instead of dealing with my own. A little honesty never hurt anyone right? Funniest thing ever...spool of lies. If anyone gets that, holla at your girl!
3. Iron Chef America. This show is so fascinating. I think it's funny how they make a big deal about the clock seeing as there has literally only been one contestant ever that didn't get his dishes done. I hate Michael Symons laugh. Fave chef...Masaharu Morimoto.
4. Top Chef. They don't do good enough language dubbing on this show, but I love the challenges. Marcel from season 2 got ripped off HARD CORE!!!
5. The Biggest Loser....umm, yes. I do love it. I just wish the inspiration I get from it would last more than just an hour after the show.
6. The Amazing Race. I've only watched a couple of seasons, but it's cool to see the other cultures of the world and then mixed in with reality t.v. and those little gnomes...could anything be better than that?
7. The Bachelor/ette. I've seen every season since 2. It's an addiction of mine. I love the drama, and the fact that they always say the next rose ceremony will be the "most dramatic rose ceremony ever"
8. Degrassi (the old AND the new generations) OK, so I have to have ONE show that's non-reality, right? And as racey as the topics are, parents need to know these things go on or they're just being ignorant to what happens in schools.
Things I am looking forward to:
1. Meeting my baby nephew Ethan on Monday and seeing Maddie and hearing her talk! Oh yeah, and seeing Al and Alesha should be cool too.
2. My next nephew being born, but that won't be until April.
3. Moving. We get to stay in our ward and same neighborhood. Once you get to Eagle's gate you don't want to leave!
4. Christmas of course! And of course not for me, but my kids are going to have the best one ever this year!
5. The next Pokemon tournament...hey, don't knock it til you try it.
6. Every episode of every reality t.v. show I love
7. Ward Christmas party, family Christmas party, Dads Birthday dinner, Christmas dinner and New Years Eve treats at the in-laws. If it's not obvious I like to eat by now, you don't know me.
It's that exercise thing I need to get addicted to!
8. A garden tub in my new house. For those of you without one, you know what I mean!
Things On My Wish List
(this is hard for me because I am not a planner, and I get too overwhelmed if I think about the future...it's just my personality type...live for the now and have fun)
1. Getting out of debt.
2. David Getting treated fairly by the VA
3. Having another child
4. Being a homeowner again so I can do whatever I want to walls, carpet, etc.
5. Getting healthier (i.e. exercise more, eat less, gain complete control over my diabetes, etc.)
6. Doing well at my calling (I'm a ward missionary) I never knew there was such a local need...yes, I am very ignorant in my wasatch front bubble!
7. The Broncos in the Superbowl again (and if they DO go, unlike Trav, I WILL BE THERE)
8. More family vacations. I love traveling!
